As a teaching pro, Steve has over 40 years of tennis instruction experience. He is a long time member of the USPTA and is in the Mississippi Tennis Hall of Fame. He has received the Tennis Pro of the Year award for Mississippi and the USTA Southern Section.
As a coach, he has had numerous juniors accepted onto Division 1 tennis teams and has helped develop many juniors that have reached the top of the state rankings. Steve teaches all ages and enjoys helping adults improve their game. He believes that, for an adult, if something is working using their own techniques, then it doesn't need to be fixed unless the adult wants it fixed. This belief allows him to work on problem areas without completely changing a persons game, resulting in a overall stronger players.
As Club Manager, Steve has been with TOCC over 20 years. He has seen the club move from one small building to three buildings and has overseen construction projects, including the rebuilding of the club after Hurricane Katrina.
Steve and his wife Shelia live in Pascagoula where they raised their children, Miles and Morgan.
